I'm confused. You think Kate Beaton is also against people using her comics as memes and giving credit, or just using them at all, even with credit? I always find the memes very interesting, and if I ever reblog them I try and make sure it has some reference to Kate's work. (I own her book and love her lots.)

She’s against people using it without credit! There’s plenty of good people who DO credit her, but then people put them on the meme parody sites and whatnot and don’t credit her and circulate them without calling back to her, which is what makes it difficult for her. She posted on her twitter about it. :c

I’m not saying DON’T make Beaton parody comics, I’m just saying that… y’know, do it sparingly, and at least refer back to her.
