So I found a rather nicely-written write-up about Homestuck in the Pixiv Encyclopedia, and I found something really freaking amazing in the section about Karkat.

“Karkat Vantas.

A 13-year-old boy (6 in troll terms). Born on June 12th. Designated as “Knight of Blood.”

A character modeled on the zodiac sign of Cancer. His blood color is an abnormally bright red (“candy red”); a mutant.

A member of the Red Team, dubbing himself their leader. Although the other members consider him to be a loudmouth and thus go along with him so as not to get scolded, his competency as leader is undeniable.

A tsungire-type(They actually use that exact term!)with an extremely short temper. However, he is underneath self-hating and cares about his comrades. Loves romcom-type films.

His weapons of choice are small sickles.

On an unrelated note, John mistakes his name as “car cat” - PU-PUU-NYAN(Beep beep meow)

“Beep beep meow” is said as “PU-PUU-NYAN” in Japanese.
